The BAD Mom Show

Welcome to the BAD MOM Show, where we flip the script on shame and reclaim the stories that moms tell themselves: “I’m too much,” “I’m not enough,” or “I’m just plain bad.”

Around here, BAD stands for Blessed, Already approved of, and Divinely designed — to lead your family as the heart of your home. And if that doesn’t sound like you yet, don’t worry. It will.

This show is for the moms who feel stuck in the past, overwhelmed by the present, and deep down fear they’re ‘messing it up. It’s for the ones carrying stories they’ve been too ashamed to tell — the fiery, sensitive, strong, loud, emotionally messy, misunderstood woman ready to stop hiding and start healing.

Because here’s the truth:
God chose you to for your family on purpose.
He’s given YOU the authority to lead them boldly.
You were divinely designed for this mantle of leadership, to set the tone as the heart of your home.

Through raw conversations, real-life stories, biblical truth, and bold encouragement, you’ll be reminded:
You are not a failure.
You are not the problem.
You are not too far gone.
And you are absolutely not a bad mom.

It’s time to bring shame into the light, reclaim your story, and walk in the freedom that’s already yours.

Because mama — your family needs your kind of bold.

You’re in the right place. Let’s get started.

We're starting a 4 part series on the HOT TOPIC of sex and how to have that conversation with your kids in a healthy vs cringey way. Most parents dread this topic but I want to change that! It's such an important conversation, especially in this fast-paced, digital world. So grab your ear buds or coffee and let's dive in!

This week we're exploring why the topic of sex feels hard to talk about and where that comes from. See we can't jump right into 'the talk' without exploring your earliest lessons about sex and the internal story you've built around it.

Before we can confidently lead our children through conversations about sex, parenting, and God's design for our bodies, we have to understand the root of our beliefs; the pain, shame, and trauma we may still be carrying.

Together, we'll gently explore how our childhood experiences influence the way we approach sex and how to have a healthier approach with your family, today. We have to separate our story from the narrative we want to share as the parents now, and raise children who know we are their trusted source of information, that no question is off limits, and we will arm them with truth instead of fear and silence.

In This Episode, You'll Discover:
Why conversations about sex often trigger emotions you didn't expect
The hidden beliefs and experiences that may be shaping your feelings about sex today
How creating a safe, faith-filled foundation around sex can change conversations with your children

This is just the beginning! This four-part series is packed with practical tools, real life examples, encouragement, and even summer homework to help you grow one step at a time.

Today's Assignment: After you listen, grab your journal and work through the reflection questions from today's episode. Write down your story around this hot topic, then share it with your spouse. If that feels difficult, bring it to God and invite Him into the places that still need healing. Give yourself grace. This is a no shame, no judgement zone.

Be sure to SAVE this series, SHARE it with a friend, and maybe even listen together so you can compare notes along the way. You can do this!

Episode 45: Finding Your True Worth with Stefani Pady

How often do we miss the value of who we are and what we have, looking around us for worth versus lwho God's developing us into through our lives?

In this episode, I sit down with an incredible woman, Stefani Pady to talk about the wrestle we all feel but may not say out loud: Am I enough? Is what I'm doing enough? Is someone else doing it better? We're talking about ourworth, that core desire to know we matter and are valuable. So whether you're navigating motherhood, marriage, business, friendship, a longing for these things or a mix of them at the same time, you are not alone in this wrestling. We can all relate and having honest conversations like this one, brings breakthrough.

Stefani shares from her own journey of being a corporate woman and a mom, trying to be it all and feeling burnt out by the pressures of life. She opens up about the transformation God began in her on a plane, on yet another business trip, as she read scripture and the words came to life in her heart. It was in this simple, personal moment that God brought new revelation into her true worth and birthed the work she does today for women and leaders both in business and at home.

In This Episode, You'll Discover:
How comparison steals our joy and the gift of contentment in your season
The impact of community, asking for help, and not staying isolated in silos
What we turn to for worth instead of God and where that's rooted
The value of your work whether it's at home or in a board room
What could be standing between you and a deeper level of owning your true worth
I hope you feel seen and connected after you tune in. If this conversation speaks to you, hit share and send it to a friend who needs this message too. And as always, be sure you're subscribed to The BAD Mom Show so you never miss an episode!

Stefani Pady is the founder and coach behind GLS Coaching and Consulting and Women, Worship and Work. While thriving in what she once considered her “dream” corporate role, she found herself burned out and spiritually depleted. Reading the Bible cover-to-cover for the first time became a turning point—God used that season to speak calling, clarity, and conviction into her life, ultimately forming the foundation of her business and ministry. Stefani walks alongside women, grounding everyday life in Scripture, helping them cultivate confidence, clarity, and purpose through the truth of God’s Word.

What happens when the role that's shaped so much of your life changes right before your eyes?

In this episode, I’m continuing a conversation I started last episode and it's one that hits close to home. We're digging into a reality that not many of us like to face but, it continues to be the truth. It's the reality that being a mom has shaped much of our purpose and identity but as our kids grow, they gradually grow OUT of us. Every milestone highlights a new level of independence and it's a little reminder that one day, they won't need us like they do now.

As hard as it is to face, the truth is every season of motherhood is a letting go and that fact raises some uncomfortable questions about purpose, attachment, and who we are beyond the title, 'Mom.'

This is a really important topic because you don't want to be blind-sided one day by the impact of an empty nest and letting go isn't something we particularly like to think about on a regular basis. But even in early seasons, it's important to realize there's a difference between loving your kids well and making them the center of your identity.

We'll discuss how putting all your love and attention on your kids can turn into an unhealthy dependence, what idolizing your kids does to them, and why it's important to remember God's divine order for our identity so we don't lose ourselves once the kids are gone. We also discuss the importance of focusing on your marriage and what happens when we avoid the hard topics with our spouse, especially around intimacy.

In This Episode, You'll Discover:
Subtle signs your worth may be tied to motherhood and the idea of being needed
What excessive attachment to your kids can lead to
How idolatry can unknowingly develop and why it's unhealthy
God's divine order and how faith keeps you rooted in your true identity through every season

This conversation isn’t about loving your children less—it’s about loving them well while remembering who God created you to be. If you've ever wondered who you are and who you'll be beyond motherhood, this episode is for you.

I'd love it if you'd share this episode with another mom and leave a review if it impacted you! Be sure you’re subscribed to The BAD Mom Show so you don’t miss an episode, and I’ll see you next Wednesday.

What if some of the most beautiful moments in motherhood are also the ones that quietly break your heart?

In this episode, I’m opening up about a side of motherhood we don’t talk about nearly enough—the tension of loving our children deeply while grieving the fact that time keeps moving forward. From kindergarten graduations to lost baby teeth and changing seasons, every milestone carries both joy and a subtle sense of loss.

I share why motherhood often feels like walking a tightrope between gratitude and grief, how our desire to rush through hard seasons can cause us to miss the beauty right in front of us, and why slowing down matters more than we realize. We’ll also talk about faith, letting go of control, embracing the season you're in, and finding gratitude even as your children grow and change.

In this episode, you'll discover:
Why certain motherhood milestones feel more emotional than expected
How to hold both gratitude and grief without feeling guilty
A simple perspective shift that can help you stay present and cherish the season you're in

Whether you're raising toddlers, navigating adolescence, or watching your children become more independent, this conversation will remind you that you're not alone in the tension of love and letting go.

If this episode spoke to you, please leave a review and share it with a friend. This tension between love and grief is so real, and sometimes we simply need the reminder that we're not the only ones walking that tightrope.

That moment after you yell can feel unbearable. The guilt hits fast, the shame gets loud, and suddenly you’re questioning everything about yourself as a mom. But what if the real damage isn’t the mistake… it’s staying stuck in condemnation afterward?

In this episode, I’m talking honestly about what to do after the blow up. Not with perfection, pretending, or pushing it under the rug — but with healing, repairing, and real connection. We’re diving into why shame keeps so many moms trapped in cycles of mom anger and triggered reactions, and how repair can actually strengthen trust with your children instead of destroy it.

I share practical ways to regulate after hard moments, how to apologize without over-explaining or blaming, and why forgiveness matters so much in breaking generational cycles. This episode is a reminder that healing in motherhood isn’t about never messing up — it’s about learning how to come back together afterward.

In this episode, we talk about:
✨ What shame and condemnation are secretly keeping you stuck in
✨ Why repairing after conflict matters more than getting it perfect
✨ How to reconnect with your child after a triggered parenting moment

You are not failing because you had a hard moment. You’re growing, learning, and leading differently than before.

If this episode helped you, do me a favor and share it with a friend who needs to step out of her shame and see a way forward. Also, make sure you’re subscribed to the show because we’re building real tools here — not just awareness, but actual change.

You’re not a bad mom.
You’re a mom learning how to repair instead of repeat. And that matters way more than getting it right every time. 💛

Ever feel like you go from calm… to completely dysregulated in seconds—and then spend the rest of the day drowning in guilt afterward?

In this episode, I’m talking honestly about what’s actually happening in your brain and body when you get triggered as a mom. Because the truth is, your reactions aren’t random, and they don’t make you a bad mother.

We dive into the survival brain, nervous system responses, fight/flight/freeze patterns, and why it can feel nearly impossible to stay calm when your child pushes a button you didn’t even realize was there. I’m also sharing practical ways to regulate your body in the moment, slow down the cycle of yelling, and respond with more intention instead of shame.

This conversation is for the mom who’s exhausted from overreacting, replaying the guilt, and wondering why change feels so hard.

In this episode, we talk about:
✨ What your triggers are really trying to tell you
✨ Why your nervous system takes over before logic can kick in
✨ Simple ways to regulate before reacting in the heat of the moment

Healing doesn’t happen through perfection. It happens through awareness, honesty, and grace.

Ladies, I know you feel it- the May-hem of May! There is more than humanly possible packed into each week before school ends: teacher appreciation, field day, field trips, graduations, celebrations, and let's not even start on all the after school extracurricular activities...

So if between running from one event to the next you feel like you're going to lose it, wondering how on earth it's all going to get done...this episode is for you!

In this episode, I’m talking about what I’ve lovingly dubbed 'Hell Week' for moms. It's from greek life rush and that week before initiation when guys would undergo some not-so-pleasant experiences before being made a 'brother.' Do you remember that? I couldn't help but feel like I was going through my own version of hell week as I vented to a friend. It's easy to slip straight into survival mode during this busy season because- well- you simply are overloaded

And since we can't tap out and tell someone else to takeover Maycember, I wanted to give you some practical tips on how you can survive the overwhelm, mental overload, and exhaustion without losing your cool. These are things that are helping me stay grounded in the middle of the chaos.

In this episode, we talk about:
✨ Why your inner dialogue matters more than you think
✨ Simple ways to reduce stress and regulate your nervous system
✨ Practical tips to stay organized and relieve mental stress so you don't burn out

You are not failing because this season feels hard and you are NOT ALONE in feeling the pressure. It's real and you’re human. So grab your coffee or running shoes and let's have a chat. I hope by the end you feel seen, had a laugh or two, and gain some actionable steps to implement today. I'd love to hear what you think!

If this message resonates, would you do me a favor? Share it with a friend who needs tips on surviving the Maycember mayhem! And be sure you’re subscribed to The BAD Mom Show so you don’t miss an episode — new ones drop every Wednesday! 💛

The mother-daughter relationship is complex. Whether you're a girl mom or you have a conflicted relationship with your own mom, this is a topic most women understand, but don't vocalize.

Through my own work, and from working with other women on this topic, it's clear that thing that hits a nerve by your daughter is actually revealing something deeper.

In this episode, I’m having a very honest conversation about the mother-daughter relationship, emotional triggers, trauma, attachment styles, and the generational patterns we carry into motherhood, especially the ones we swore we never would.

We keep it real on The BAD Mom show so I share personal moments with my own daughter and how I began realizing that my reactions weren’t really about her behavior at all—they signaled unresolved pain from my own mother-daughter relationship and how it impacted my beliefs about the type of mom I could be as well as the relationship I would have with my daughter.

We talk about why certain emotions feel so activating, how our childhood experiences shape our parenting, and what it looks like to slow down and get curious versus reacting (survival brain) and falling into a shame spiral after.

This episode is for all of us because, like it or not, there are things from your own relationship with your mom that impact the type of mother you are today. This doesn't negate her efforts or mean you had a 'bad' mom. I love my mom dearly, and yet- there was still pain influencing my leadership. So grab your coffee, take a walk, put in your AirPods, and dig into this very significant relationship.

And if you've feared repeating cycles you desperately want to break, know that you can, there is a better way, and you will.

In this episode, you’ll begin to uncover:
✨ Why certain behaviors in your daughter feel disproportionately triggering
✨ How trauma and attachment styles shape your approach to motherhood
✨ What healing generational patterns actually looks like in real life

and so much more.

What if the breakthrough, the energy, the peace, etc you’re craving is on the other side of the very thing you resist the most?

Rest. Stillness. Slowing Down.

In this episode, I’m sharing from a personal revelation God showed me as I've been in a forced season of slowing down after surgery. It checked me- and in the best way (as He seems to do!).

I had this moment where I realized...before HAVING to slow down and heal, I would literally pray for more ease in my day; a slower pace, not being so busy; white space to read and relax and actually ENJOIY my day. But then I get it and what do I do? Fill the down time with projects I've been meaning to get to, wonder how much longer this is going to take, and feel ANTSY.

Why is it so hard to slow down and be CONTENT when we're actually in a season (or moment) of rest?

It highlighted how, despite all the awareness I have, to some degree I still assign more value and personal worth to productivity and performance. There's something uncomfortable about being OK with not being constantly busy! Can you relate?

I bet you can. So get ready to dive into this one with an open heart and mind.

In this episode, we dig into:
✨The tension between craving rest and avoiding it once we have it
✨Why it's hard not to fill every free moment
✨The difference between contentment and complacency
✨How embracing slower seasons can actually accelerate your growth

And how allowing yourself to exhale, not stay busy, and get still might just be the most productive thing you can do today.

There's so much growth happening beneath the surface; healing in stillness, and peace awaiting when you surrender your hurried heart.

If this spoke to you, share this episode with a friend! I know she'll thank you!
And I would love it if you could leave a review to help more women see they're not the only ones on the busyness train but there IS a way off.💛
